Stallions At Stud

Kirreway WindsongKIRREWAY WINDSONG
Our foundation sire for the past sixteen years has been our wonderful stallion, Kirreway Windsong. His dam was the great Welsh B mare Kirreway Lullaby and his sire was the legendary Riding Pony stallion, Carolina’s Cats Whiskers (Imp). Windsong has an outstanding temperament which has passed on to his progeny as many of these are campaigned by children. It is a familiar sight around the agricultural shows to see a line-up of Windsong progeny in the champion Galloway and Pony led and hack ring. Consistently breeding youngsters with his great movement and classic looks, a number of his progeny have gone on to great success at Royal Shows and Horse of the Year events.

Following an injury to his foot, Windsong has been closed to public stud for a number of years, however during the 2008 breeding season he was open to public stud for a brief interval to allow breeders with mares not over 14.2hh to join them to this gentle and much-loved sire.
